Macau International Professional Ballroom Dancing
Association proudly presents the 2010 Asian Open Dance
Tour–Macau International Open Dance Sport Championships
at the Banquet Hall of The Venetian Macao ~ Resort ~
Hotel on February 27th, 2010.
With a large number of participants and 7 events,
the competition started at 7:00 AM to 12:00 midnight.
There was a grand dinner party in the evening with over
100 dining tables and the highlights of the event include
not only the Semi-Finals and Finals of the Macau International
Open Professional Standard and Latin, but also the ribbon-cutting
ceremony presented by the Chief Executive of Macau Special
Administrative Region, Dr. Chui Sai On, the President
of World Dance Council, Mr. Donnie Burns MBE, the President
of Asian Dance Council, Mr. Isao Nakagawa the President
of Macau International Professional Ballroom Dancing
Association, Mrs. Li Wong Hoi Ping, the Managing Director
of the Macau Jockey Club, Mr. Li Chi Keung, and the
member of Legislative Council, Ms. Angela Leong.
This is the second year that Macau hosts the
Asian Open Dance Tour Championships.
The President of Macau International Professional
Ballroom Dancing Association, Mrs. Li Wong Hoi Ping
declares that it is the second year that Macau is authorised
to host the Asian Open Dance Tour Championships. Not
only this receives an overwhelming response but also
a large number of world class dancers from more than
20 countries and regions participated in the competition.
Their superb performing attracts a huge number of audience
worldwide and creates great sensation. Mrs. Li Wong
Hoi Ping would like to thank everyone for their participation
and full support.
In addition to the intense competition, the Organiser
has invited some well-known teachers including Ms. Huang
Rui, Mr. Yin Wei Dong, Ms. Anna Pao, Mr. Charles Heung
and the students from the Macau International Professional
Ballroom Dancing Association to perform on the stage.
The audience were so carried away with their performing
that they all applauded and cheered.
The champions for the Macau International Open
Professional Standard are: Arunas Bizokas／Katusha Demidova
(USA) and the champions for the Macau International
Open Professional Latin are:Riccardo Cocchi／Yulia Zagoruychenko
(USA).
The champions for the Asian Closed Professional
Standard are: Zhang Hao / Song Xiaorong (China) and
the champions for the Asian Closed Professional Latin
are: Zhao Liang / Gao Xue (China).
The champions for Open Amateur Standard: He
Chong/ Shan Ching (China) and the champions for the
Open Amateur Latin are: Dorin Frecautanu／Roselina Doneva
(Moldova)
