2009 Asian Open Dance Tour included five sections: Tokyo Japan, Osaka, Kuala Lumpur Malaysia, Seoul Korea and Macau. The Asian Dance Council appointted the Macau International Professional Ballroom Dance Association (MIPBDA) as the organizer of Macau Section. The championships took place in The Venetian Macao Resort Hotel Ballroom.

World class champions coming from over twenty countries, their performances have attracted all the audiences. There are non-stop cheers in the hall for every exquisite skillful dance movement.

Over hundreds top dancers from all over the world contested hotly. The competition was climaxed by the superb performance from the six finalists in the Standard and Latin section of Macau Open Professional.

The President of MIPBDA, Mrs Li Wong Hoi Ping, expressed that the Asian Dance Tour had not only given them a pleasurable visual experience, it was also a very meaningful event for the future development of their association. Through this championship, not only they had gained experiences in organizing world class dance events, they had also provided an opportunity for local dancers an learning experience as well as an international exchange experience. This event had created a platform for Macau and worldwide dancers a good development foundation.
