Entry:
I.   For the categories above, a double entry of both Standard and Latin sections is not allowed for all competitions.
II.  Asian Closed Professional – Asian nationality is required in either one partner of the couples.
    **All the entries and rules will be based on Syllabus of 2012 Asian Open Dance Tour from Asian Dance Council. **
III.    Exemption from the 1st Round will be granted to those who ranked Top 6 in 2011 Macau Open Professional (Standard/Latin) on March 5th, 2011 in Macau (The exemptions only apply to the same partnership in 2011 Macau Open Professional and not to the competitors individually).
IV. Champions of 2012 Macau Open Professional (Standard & Latin) shall present an honor dance for the Award Ceremony.

Prize Money:
I.    Prize money for categories (A), (B), (C), and (D) will be distributed in US Dollars.
II.   All competitors will be required to pay 20% income tax out of the prize money.

Accommodation:

  • The Organizer will provide complimentary hotel accommodation in the official hotel for the nights of the 9th March & 10th March, 2012 per couple. Qualified couples are those:
    1. who ranked Top 12 in 2011 Macau International Open Dance Sport Championships – Macau Open Professional (Standard / Latin) on March 5th, 2011 in Macau, and
    2. who ranked Top 24 in 2011 Professional World Ranking after 2011 Disney Cup, and
    3. who ranked Top 12 in 2011 Asian Ranking, and
    4. who ranked Top 6 in 2011 WDC Amateur League World Ranking, after 2011 Disney Cup.
  • Qualified couples have to settle all outstanding entry fees by 10th February, 2012 in conformity with the Organizer for their complimentary hotel offer. Otherwise, the Organization will assume that the couples decide to give up their rights to the complimentary hotel offer.
  • Couples who confirm the complimentary hotel offer shall have their hotel check-in completed before 12:00pm on the 9th March, 2012, unless they provide a written notice to and inform the Organizer before the 7th March, 2012 for their late check-in/arrival; otherwise, the reservation will be automatically cancelled.
  • Other couples are required to make their own hotel reservations and to bear all relevant charges.

 

  (D) Amateur Open (Standard / Latin)
 
1st place: USD600 2nd place: USD500 3rd place: USD300

(E) Pro -Am – 5 Single Dances (Standard / Latin)

  • Medals will be presented to couples who rank from the 1st to the 6th places for each single dance.
  • A trophy will be awarded to the overall champion for the 5 dances.
  • No prize money will be awarded.
 

(F) Asian Under 21 – 5 Dances (Standard / Latin)
1st place: HKD1,300 2nd place: HKD1,100 3rd place: HKD500

 
  • For Category (F), prize money will be distributed in HK Dollars

Entry:

  • A double entry of both Professional and Amateur sections is not allowed.
  • Couples in “Amateur Open Rising Star” may apply for either “Amateur Open” OR “Under 21” at the same time.
  • Couples in “Under 21” may also apply for “Amateur Open Rising Star” but not “Amateur Open”.
  • Pro-Am – the entry fee is HKD2,500 for up to 5 dances for Standard or Latin,. If competitors enroll in both Standard and Latin competitions simultaneously, an additional HKD2,500 entry fee will be required.  
  • Under 21 – competitors who are born on the 1st January, 1991 or later. (The age limit is based on the elder partner)
Multiple entries will be charged in accordance to those mentioned above.
